In short? Yes.

The longer answer is, yes--and here’s why.

We’ve been thinking a lot about content here at Outlier, and we've discovered that sadly, not even theOutlier team is immune to the very same troubles our clients experience. We want to produce great content, but balancing the necessary time needed to create that content can sometimes put a pinch on the client projects that are always our first priority.

That’s why, just as we advocate for editorial calendars with our clients, we also work hard to find a strategy that works for our team.

An editorial calendar can take a lot of the guesswork out of your inbound marketing efforts. Scratching your head trying to come up with an interesting article this week? Check your editorial calendar. Feeling inspired and ready to take on the world? By all means, put together several posts that you can then publish in the future. The main point of the calendars is simply to ensure that you keep writing, and publishing, fresh new content to help you engage with your customers and your peers.

Some people have concerns that the editorial calendar can be too constrictive. Maybe your focus back in February doesn’t feel quite right anymore now that it’s July. The big thing to remember for these calendars is that they are just as flexible as you allow them to be. That's a lot to keep track of! And that's exactly why these calendars can be so helpful.
