Meet the Intern! Ryan Friedle Q & A

by: dianalien

So tell us a little about yourself.

I am going into 12th grade, and I am from Otisville, NY. I am interested in film, music, and sports. And in the future, I hope to become a stuntman and do stunts for movies.

Awesome! Are there any stunt devils out there that you see as role models?

Yeah, I have always looked up to Jackie Chan and Scott Adkins who are both stuntmen and actors.

How is our office like the show The Office?

Uh, a lot different?

In a good or bad way?

I expected it to look for like a regular office, but this office is very fitting for the company.

What have you learned so far?

Um, let's see. Learned what a MakerBot is. I learned what "outlier" means on dictionary.com. It means, like, being different or away from the pack or group.

Did you have any expectations coming into this internship? Is it different than what you thought it would be like?

Well, everything is different than what we expect it to be, but I am happy with the way it turned out to be.

What do you think about marketing now?

Marketing is pretty cool, and there is a lot more that is going on than what you would expect.

Whats the weirdest thing you saw in Portland so far?

Lots of weird things. I saw a guy out the window who I didn't know if he had Tourettes, or an imaginary friend. He was waving his arms and stuff.

What do you like most about Portland?

The cooler temperature; people don't get mad over stupid little things.

How sad is Charlie (our office dog)? On a scale of 1 to 10 - 1 being "The Notebook" sad, 10 a montage-of-Tom-Hanks-movies sad?

I give her a 2. She seems pretty sad, but I have seen some energy.

Thanks, Ryan!
