A Growing Video Library

Desperate for a tool to help them keep on top of their own internal personnel training, the team at DoveLewis Emergency Animal Hospital created the On the Floor at Dove E-learning website. Within just a few years the site was bursting at the seams with thousands of procedural videos and articles featuring real-life patients in treatment at DoveLewis in Portland, Oregon.

Online Account Management

It was up to us at Outlier to create a new E-Learning website that could better address the needs of the growing membership base including intuitive online tools to manage accounts, share coursework, and track members’ training progress. The site also had to be equipped to handle a large volume of recurring ECommerce subscription transactions while ensuring secure checkout, subscription management, and transactional communication using automated email.

Beginning with earlier user survey data and enhanced by hours of customer interviews conducted by the Outlier team, we were able to create a clear roadmap to address top user needs and enhance the site with new features. A new responsive website design focused on getting users fast access to their desired content as well as greatly improved search and browsing functionality to find new and relevant content on each new visit.

Drupal Commerce

Utilizing Drupal Commerce the new site includes a 7-day trial subscription before creating a new account that is renewed automatically or manually. Following completion of their own individual training modules, visitors are prompted to take short quizzes which earn training certificates that can then be sent to account administrators.

The new E-Commerce website launched in January 2016 and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. User and account administrators alike have been thrilled with the site’s easy navigation and reporting functionality.
